A Pixi Haul

You know that going to the Pixi store near Carnaby Street is always on my London to-do list. I am in love with their Glow Tonic and even the thought of running out of this wonder product is freaking me out. So when I went to London for one day, almost two months ago, I had to squeeze in a quick visit.
I had already done my research and saw that they have a big sis to the Glow Tonic aka the Glow Mist. A little bottle that will make my skin even more glowing, luminous and smooth. I have only tried the MAC Fix + and I love that! The Glow Mist has propolis and argan oil in it and smells very fresh. I haven't tried it out well enough, but a full review is on its way!
It was a bit of damage for my bank account when I picked up these two products (Glow Tonic £18 & Glow Mist £16), but it was all worth it. Combining this with the fact that I already spent about £150 on make-up and other skincare bits in Boots and Superdrug. It was definitely a successful shopping trip!
I also just had a browse on their website, because I needed to look up the prices, and I see they also have a Glow Mud Cleanser, Nourishing Cleansing Balm and Cleansing Cloths (OMGGG). Guess what I will be buying when I am back in London! (I do really think I have a problem #bbloggers)

Have you tried anything from Pixi before?

Estée Lauder Kendall Jenner Lipstick in Restless

I will just come forward and say it: I love Keeping Up with the Kardashians. It's my all-time guilty pleasure and I love seeing their day-to-day life. When Kendall came out with her Limited Edition lipstick for Estée Lauder I thought it was very pretty, but I wasn't totally obsessed. Then I saw some videos on YouTube and I really felt like I was missing out. I love matte lipsticks and this lipstick just seemed drop-dead gorgeous.
It was still in stock on the website (lucky me), but paying €32,00 for a lipstick was a lot for me. By the time I made the decision I wanted to have it anyways, it was sold out. The next day I checked the website probably a million times to see if it miraculously was back in stock and at 7pm the words ''Sold Out'' had disappeared. I immediately ordered it and it was one of the best decisions I ever made.

It's actually the first luxury lipstick I've owned in my life and I can't be happier about it. I have a couple of MAC lipsticks, but it's just not the same. The packaging is gorgeous. It is a matte, dark-blue with gold and Kendall's signature is on the top. There is a magnet in there, so when you want to close it, it snaps right into place. The lipstick itself is such an amazing colour and I don't own anything like it. It's red with a hint of orange and the matte consistency is just perfect.
It goes on very smooth and the pigmentation is amazing. It does rub off a bit when you drink or eat, so make sure to reapply a couple of times during the day. My lips also haven't been in the best condition and, as with every matte lipstick, it does show. So make sure you scrub your lips and moisturize them properly before you apply it.

I think this is one of the best beauty purchases I ever made! It's one of those classics that, as a beauty addict, you just need to have! Also if you want to see the lipstick in action, a Kendall Jenner Inspired Make-Up Look will go up very soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that! (update: the video is live and you can watch it HERE)
(sorry for the random make-up in the photo. I just filmed the make-up tutorial and had to take some quick shots for the thumbnail (and this post) and totally forgot to get it out of the shot.)

My new Birkenstock purchase

I have been a fan of Birkenstock for years. I bought my first pair of sandals when I was 14 and I absolutely worn them to death. I actually still have them, but they are a bit old and dirty, which made me think it was time for a new pair. I was also not really in love with the model anymore. It's the one strap, Madrid model and I was actually more in love with the two straps, Arizona model that everyone is rocking nowadays. So there I went on my way to the store to pick up a pair of these summer musthaves.

When I was in the store I was hesitating a bit. When I looked at them I still got a bit of a ''old man with a grey beard who is obsessed with the environment'' kind of vibe, but I still decided to give them a go. I put these shoes on my feet like Cinderella tried on the glass slipper and they fit me like a glove. I fell in love with the look and feel of them. They are so comfy, stylish and just overall perfect. Even though we don't really have a lot of sunshine here, I know these will be my newest go-to shoe and because they are black they go with everything. Definitely one of my better purchases this summer!

What are your thoughts on Birkenstocks? Do you own a pair?

La Roche-Posay Serozinc

I have been on the hunt for this product for ages. We do sell La Roche-Posay in The Netherlands, but this product isn't part of their Dutch range. So when I went to London five weeks ago, I had to pick it up. It was on offer as well so I was a very happy girl!

Serozinc is a zinc, sulfate solution for oily and blemish-prone skin. It is made to make the skin look less greasy and shiny and more mattified. I always have a look at the ingredients list and I was surprised when I only found three ingredients there: water: sodium chloride and zinc sulphate.

I have to say I really like it! I spray it on before I apply my other skincare products and I think it's very refreshing and cooling on the skin. I have also noticed a slight change in the oiliness that keeps building up on my skin. It has no scent at all and the skin soaks it up very well. I mostly spray it on in the evening, but when I feel like it I also use it in the morning. Overall I am very happy with this!

You can pick this up in Boots for 8,50 pounds and you can also find it online (Google is your best friend). I need to come up with a plan to get some new Serozinc bottles to me asap, since I don't want to ran out. I do think some websites send to NL, but I haven't really searched it yet. The other option is planning a new trip to London and that sounds like a pretty good idea to me!

Have you tried the Serozinc spray before or any other product from La Roche-Posay?
